Brave Purchase

I did something I never do, and probably won't do again. I bought hardware on impulse and without research.

I bought a 19" wide screen LCD monitor at... a grocery store!!:eek3::hiding:

Yes, I know dangerous and stupid. I am still a little concerned that there is almost no information on the web about it, but it is accually a sweet monitor! The color is better then my other 19" LCD and there were no dead pixels! The price was $169.00, not bad for the specs, and I needed another flat panel for my wifes desk.:wink:

Screen size 19 inch
Resolution 1440x900
Colors 16.2 mln
Brightness 300 cd/m²
Contrast ratio 1000 : 1
Maximum vertical view angle 160 °
Maximum horizontal view angle 160 ° specification
Total response time 5 ms

DVI input and D-Sub input, came with both cables. Integrated speakers and cable.

    Is it made by Medion ? I have a non-wide screen 19" monitor made by them, had it for 3-4 years now, doing well :smiles:

    Considering the 'several years ago' purchase, it's life span wasn't so short. I haven't owned a flat panel for more than two years, but I suppose any brand is subject to failure after a few years.

    I'm used to CRT reliability Leo the CRT substitute is 8 years old and still going strong, spike stops crosses fingers and touches wood :bigggrin:
