FWIW: I couldn't use some Corsair mem I bought along with the Dell mem that came with my 531, when running Vista. WOuld blue screen coming up into Vista.
Switched to XP and everything's great now, boots fine and all 3 gig is recognized, go figure.
Also thanks for lettin us know if the 2GB sticks dont work, was considering them, but I think I'll stick with 3-4GB PC2-6400.
scratch that, Just bought 2x2GB sticks from Corsair today (1.8v, be VERY mindful of this spec, Dells can only use 1.8v, nothing more) from a local shop, they tested them before selling them to me, they work, I'm officially running 6GB RAM now!
