40 years ago Atari rocked a burgeoning video gaming world with Pong—now they are looking for indie developers to bring it into the 21st century with an iOS re-imagining.
From today through to 31st March, developers can submit their own concept of what a modern twist on Pong would entail, with the best of the bunch securing Atari backing in gettting them from idea to App Store. Ensuring the standards are high will be Atari’s judging panel, which is set to include the Atari founder himself, Nolan Bushnell, Bolt Creative’s Dave Castelnuovo, tech writer Mike Schramm and the views of gamers, with a fan-decided ‘community winner’.
If you think you have what it takes to produce a worthy successor to the classic Pong you can check out the full details regarding the contest here.
