BlackBerry Curve 8530 comes to Sprint

Sprint announced today that it is now officially offering the BlackBerry Curve 8530.

The Curve 8530, codename Aries, is the CDMA version of the previously-released Curve 8520. The device takes its visual cues from the BlackBerry Bold 9700 with beveled keys, a black bezel, and an optical trackpad, but drops 3G support as is typical of all models in RIM’s Curve series of products.

In the specs department, the phone features a 320×240 display, 256MB onboard memory (expandable to 32GB via MicroSD), a 2MP camera, 802.11b/g WiFi, BlueTooth 2.0+EDR and GPS.

The Curve 8530 (“Aries”) is available starting today for $49.99 after instant savings and a $100 MIR with 2-year contract.

18 Dec 2009 ~ 10:38pm thymian The phone looks & feels great, but has some deficiencies. The upside? The trackpad is a great touch and WiFi is long overdue. This is a decent entry level phone, but there are much better BlackBerrys out there for a few dollars more.

14 Mar 2010 ~ 1:56pm +0/\/\ yay im getting this fone im so glsd cuz the curve has the best keyboard of all blackberriez and i the trackpad cuz the ball thingy hurts my finger like sh*t, and im switchin from at&t to sprint and this fone is WAY better than the LG CE110!!! (look it up)
