Celebrate the new year with another IndieRoyale bundle

New Year IndieRoyale

A new year, a new bundle, but what’s in the IndieRoyale’s latest offering?

Well first up is Nuclear Dawn, a multiplayer class-based shooter with an RTS flavour, a combination which should be familiar to any players of Savage or Natural Selection. The FPS portion is a straightforward enough affair—four discrete classes, each with a variety of different weapon loadouts, battle it out while an RTS-style ‘commander’ constructs buildings and issues objectives to the rest of the players.

Max and the Magic MarkerSecond in this bundle is Max & The Magic Marker, an intriguing mix of 2D platforming and Crayon Physics-style puzzles. The player controls both Max and his ‘magic marker’ which can be used to construct a variety of physical objects needed to progress through the levels of this charming Danish indie title. Next up is Fractal—the latest in a string of musical puzzlers from Cipher Prime. Its parentage certainly shows—a minimalist art style combined with an elegant soundtrack make it strongly reminiscent of their previous PC title Auditorium and all but guarantee it’s worth a look. Last, but by no means least is Super Crossfire, a sort of bullet hell reimagining of space invaders in a decidedly more psychedelic colour scheme. It also includes an upgrade system and lets the player warp between top and bottom of the screen making for an intense, frantic shooter.

So the IndieRoyale continues with another eclectic bundle of quality games but this time, as an added bonus, anyone who pays over the minimum will have a copy of George & Jonathans chiptune album Beautiful Lifestyle thrown in for nowt. Not a bad deal at all.
