Cerberus Atlas mech teases new Mass Effect 3 DLC?

Spotted by Joystiq’s Mike Schramm, an image revealed during the BioWare panel at this year’s San Diego Comic Con further suggests a new DLC for Mass Effect 3 is on its way.

The image, seen right, portrays a Cerberus Atlas Mech tromping through what appears to be an aquatic landscape. While there is no discernible relation to any known content, it’s conceivable that the image is a still of the “Leviathan” DLC, which was recently confirmed by a voice actor hired to work the project.

Meanwhile, the Leviathan DLC tells the story of Sheppard’s hunt of Leviathan, a Reaper that seized a mining colony and indoctrinated its inhabitants prior to the final assault on Earth. According to dismantled files in Mass Effect 3, the events of the unannounced content take place around the same time as the From Ashes campaign.
