CyberSnipa Padlock gaming mat

Cybersnipa Padlock review

Last month, right before Expo Icrontic, I was sent a gaming mat from CyberSnipa called the Padlock.

There is a difference between a gaming mat and a mousepad, as you can see in the picture above. The difference is huge. When I threw this sucker down on my desk space at Expo, everybody came up to comment on it.

The keyboard area has satisfying and tenacious rubber nubs that firmly hold the keyboard in place. It is not going anywhere, unless you really try. For those of us who flail all over the place during gaming sessions, this might be what you need to prevent your keyboard from flinging off into your monitor stand.

The surface material is pretty rad. It’s smooth yet has ever so slight resistance to the mouse, which at least gives the impression of feeling more accurate than a slippery surface.

The best feature of this product, especially in a LAN gaming environment, is that is helps define your full space. I threw the mat down, put my stuff on it, and I really felt like I had my own little cube during Expo Icrontic. It’s psychological, I know, but it works.

The padlock rolls up very tightly for transport, despite its hugeness. The edges are well-embroidered thread that won’t fray and the back is rubber to prevent sliding around on your desk.

I really like the Padlock. It’s a huge mousepad, but if you’ve got the space for it, you might not ever be able to go back to a normal sized one again. I’m happy to recommend it to my fellow Icrontic gamers.

The Cybersnipa Padlock is available in two sizes: Standard and XL. The one pictured above is XL.

I cannot stop rubbing the little nubs under the keyboard area. Help.

shwaip I don't think i could go back to a non-glass mousing surface after the steelseries i2 :)

BuddyJ And when the LAN is over, you can move your keyboard and mouse off it an use it as a yoga mat.

Cliff_Forster I like it. It looks "gamer", without looking too "gamer" if you know what I mean?
