ECS gets even better with new expedited service

Owners of ECS Black Series motherboards are in for some great service should those boards ever need repair or replacement.  The company now offers a first-in-industry 99-hour replacement service for Black Series product owners.

“ECS understands when you pay a premium for a performance product like our ECS Black Series, you expect the best in performance and reliability consistently.  We design and build ECS Black Series products with performance and reliability in mind. ECS stands behind its promise with Black Series and offers the best service for you to purchase with confidence.”

The way it works is: you register your Black Series product(s) after logging into their Elite Service site. If you have an issue or require a replacement, ECS will ship a replacement within 24 hours after receiving your Black Series product via 3-day shipping service.

Some of the terms of use:

  • Products must either have been purchased in the last 60 days or be within the two-year warranty period
  • A receipt may be required if the serial number indicates the board was produced over two years ago (to prove your purchase date is within the two year period)
  • The service is only valid in the lower 48 states (sorry Alaska, Hawaii, and the rest of the world)
  • The 99-hour process begins when ECS receives the motherboard

In addition to this service, members will recieve product/services updates and announcements and automatically enter their monthly drawing for random prizes (non-ECS owners may also set up accounts, so no purchase is needed to enter).

I’ll admit I became a fan of ECS when I first reviewed their P55H-AK Black.  Since then several of their boards have crossed my desk, and they’ve been good boards (reviews in progress for some of them).  Hopefully the service is never needed, but if it is you can rest assured of a quick turn-around for your replacement parts.

Cliff_Forster I've been using ECS in builds for friends and family that just want something dependable for years. They have always made really good basic boards. I have used a few of the Black boards now and I have to say they are really feature rich and competitive with some of the better boards on the market now.

After a really two really lousy experiences I had returning both a DFI motherboard and some A-Data Ram in the past few months. Deplorable experiences each time, took forever and I was in the dark most of the time. To see this level of service from ECS is very refreshing.

I kind of see it like Hyundai. So many years ago they had a reputation as being the low cost, sub par quality dealer, and they said, tell ya what, here is a ten year warranty... ECS could really capture the budget minded enthusiast with this. That is the category I know I fit in.

AlexDeGruven That's pretty impressive. I was down for 2.5 weeks when the PCI-E controller died on my MSI board a few years ago.

ardichoke heh... don't get me started on MSI's tech support.

AlexDeGruven Their support was just fine. I put in my problem, they sent me an RMA number and shipping label the same day.

It just took forever for them to process it all and get me my replacement board.

ardichoke Took me something like 8 months and 5 time shipping my laptop in before MSI actually got me a working laptop.

    AlexDeGruven Ouch. Consistency FTL
