ECS are no strangers to the all-in-one market, and their latest G24 is set to fully exploit the touchscreen-centric Window 8.
Powered by one of three different thin Mini-ITX motherboards and designed to function as anything from digital signage to a home theatre PC, the G24 packs a lot into its 12kg chassis. The usual USB, audio and HDMI ports are supplemented by onboard wireless 802.11n networking, a 1.3MP webcam, a hot-swap HDD bay and an optional TV tuner module. Combined with the G24’s ability to accept HDMI input, the TV tuner allows for the discrete replacement of a regular television with a fully fledged HTPC without requiring a larger footprint or unsightly cabling.
Thanks to the posable ‘Z-Stand’ and the G24’s cable free nature, it can easily be repositioned for the comfortable use of its 23.6″ touch sensitive LED display making it one of a very few touchscreen PC’s that look practical for sustained use.
