The recently 9 year old CCP Games is hard at work putting the finishing touches to the latest expansion to its flagship EVE: Online title.
EVE Online: Inferno will be the 17th free addition to the EVE universe and promises to revamp combat through an overhaul of some of the major war-related mechanics as well as adding 16 new modules, an improved character creator and prettier graphics to boot.
Highlights of the new combat systems include a ‘mercenary marketplace’ where players can recruit or work as bounty hunters, a new ‘war declaration system’ to help manage galaxy wide campaigns, a ‘Factional Warfare’ PVP training ground and updated missiles/missile launchers to allow players to immerse themselves in the sheer joy that comes from launching a macross missile massacre.
Inferno should be landing shortly with release planned for next week (22nd May) so stay tuned to hear more soon as well as info on CCP’s free-to-play tie-in DUST 514 which is expected to hit the shelves later this year.
