Gigabyte and HWBOT host spring overclocking competition

Gigabyte Overclocking Competition

GIGABYTE and HWBOT are hosting the Spring Extreme Competition, the latest overclocking competition on hwbot.com.

The competition looks for the highest benchmarking scores in a particular benchmark for each stage of the competition, which runs from February 15 to March 15, 2012. The benchmarks for each stage, in order, are SuperPI 1M, SuperPI 32M, PiFast, and PCMark 05.

First place in the competition will receive a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7 motherboard. Second place receives a GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD5 motherboard. Third place receives a GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 motherboard.

The competition is open to anyone, but qualifying hardware is limited to AMD CPUs and GIGABYTE motherboards. Complete rules, submission guidelines, and scoring criteria can all be found at the competition web page.
