Interactive Dishonored “Daring Escapes” trailer highlights evasion options

Dishonored Daring Escapes TrailerArkane Studios has given us a nice spin on the typical game trailer with the new interactive Dishonored video entitled Daring Escapes.

We begin with some visuals of the Dishonored world. Then, we are placed in the first-person view of a supernatural assassin, Carvo. We take out a masked gentlemen by slicing his throat—but this brings the attention of a hallway full of guards that don’t exactly look like they are calling on a welcome wagon. How do we handle this?

In the trailer we are presented with three options of answering that question; the Long Jump, Sleep Tight and Chain Possession. We can select an option and jump straight to that solution or hold tight and watch all three. As we act out each possibility we are shown the dynamic abilities of Carvo and how we can use these to escape unscathed.

Dishonored has already been nominated for multiple awards including Best Original Game at E3.

Pre-orders are available now on Amazon, Target, and Best Buy. The game will hit the shelves of your favorite retailer on October 9th for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360

BlackHawk Game play looks nice but the graphics look a bit dated.

    TheAlertHusky This looks freakin' sweet.
I do agree with you Black-Hawk however the lighting and style does out weigh the slightly dated graphics

  4. Thrax
Thrax It does look very dated, but the gameplay looks good enough that I can live with the the mediocre graphics.

Ilriyas Many games have had dated visuals and still ended up being some of the best on the market.
  8. DocFrazier
DocFrazier I can't wait to try this, I was reading the write-up in game-informer, looks pretty sweet. Also check out X:Com Enemy Unknown, for you turn based strategy buffs, free demo on steam.

Koreish This seems like a Bioshock clone to me. Not necessarily a bad thing but a little disappointing, maybe it will turn out like Saints Row and completely blow me away though.
