More evidence for 2009 Windows 7 release

Speculation regarding Windows 7’s release date has been brewing since October when many began to believe that the OS was destined for 2009 despite Microsoft’s considerable insistence otherwise. That guessing game continued with a Friday interview of Microsofter Mark Russinovich who revealed that Windows 7 would be sent for manufacture three years after Vista, which occurred in October 2006.

The rumor mill continues. Discuss.

That's a fair statement. If you consider that the bulk of development and troubleshooting was or Win7 was Vista, I'd say Microsoft has indeed taken their time. It seems logical to me that the last several months Microsoft has had the opportunity to focus on quality, efficiency, and usability. No, I have not run 7 myself - I'm basing my assessment on the the Win7 experiences from users and professionals posted all over the Net.

We're sorry, Windows 7 Beta downloads are no longer available. If you've got a copy of the the Beta and need a key, here's where to look.
