SEGA is adding to its existing Napoleon: Total War with a new expansion pack dubbed The Peninsular Campaign. The pack will include a brand spanking new campaign map, complete with 32 controllable regions that the four different factions will be vying for.

Along with the new campaign map, SEGA was kind enough to pack several other new features into the expansion pack. To join the battle along with France and Britain, Spain will be joining the fight as a new playable faction.  There are also three new agents: the priest (Spain and Portugal), the provocateur (Britain and France), and the Guerrillero (Spain-exclusive).

The Peninsular Campaign is set in 1811, already two years into a war for the Spanish Peninsula. After both sides have suffered heavy casualties, Napoleon’s Armée d’Espagne has invaded Portual once over. However, a sophisticated network of entrenchments prevents any quick victory for France. Even after being forced back to the edges of their own land by the French, Spain prepares to fight back with guerrilla tactics against the invading threat.

Napoleon: Total War—The Peninsular Campaign will be available this Summer, exclusively via Steam.
