Pre-order Mass Effect 3 and join the Battlefield 3 ranks for free

Free Battlefield 3

Pre-Orders for Mass Effect 3, the conclusion to EA’s Mass Effect trilogy, have opened up at $59.99 for all versions. Adding more incentive for this purchase is EA’s inclusion of a free copy of Battlefield 3 if you pre-order on PC. Given this is EA, that means this title is only available for digital download through their Origin service. The Origin service is free so don’t worry your pretty little heads about that.

There are a few stipulations on this offer and they are as follows:

  • The offer expires March 5, 2012
  • It only works for those who don’t already own a digital copy of Battlefield 3
  • US and Canada only

If you skipped buying Battlefield 3 for whatever reason, as I did, this provides a very tempting offer to get a very anticipated ending to the Mass Effect saga while also giving the opportunity to end up in the trenches with your fellow Icrontic soldiers. Even if you don’t want to fork over the money yet, you can still check out the action in the Mass Effect 3 demo.

Koreish Sweet I get a game I still don't have any desire to play when I pre-order ME3. Can you gift on Origin?

I am unsure. I would guess that you could simply hand the key off to someone else as it would be a lot of effort to link serial numbers to accounts and then send them out and defeat the e-mail process. That is a guess.

If you already have a digital version of BF3 you do not get an extra one with this promotion. BF3 is currently $59.99 in the origin store.

Chooch How about those who already have BF3? Do we get a free EA game instead?

Preacher Another reason to hate Origin and EA...they ended their offer of Battlefield 3 with Mass Effect 3 early. Sonofuva!
