The PS Vita is already out in Japan—where it has totally failed to sell like hotcakes. In light of the situation, Sony has decided to try to sweeten the deal for us here in the US. Yesterday Sony announced for those who have pre-ordered the PS Vita First Edition that in addition to the limited edition case, a 4GB memory card, and Little Deviants, they will also be including an AT&T DataConnect Pass for one free 250MB session and a PSN game. Both will be available with a 3G activation.
For those who will be getting the PS Vita 3G/WiFi on February 22, Sony has a bundle for you. Not only will you get the Vita, but you will receive a 8GB memory card, a AT&T DataConnect Pass and a PSN game for $299. All things considered, the $299 bundle sounds like a much better deal than the First Edition. Sony really wants the Vita to succeed, but with only having limited games to access with ‘discounted’ prices for UMD owners, people are still hesitant on getting one.
