Steam on Mac gets official launch date

Valve revealed just moments ago that Steam on Mac will go public on Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Additional details were not revealed, but Valve mentioned in the press release to “stay tuned for more information.”

Steam on Mac has had many hopeful Mac gamers pumped up since its official announcement last month. With any luck, the additional details that Valve will soon reveal will detail what games will be available for the platform, as well as what kind of Mac platforms the software will operate on.

So, as Valve has stated, stay tuned for additional coverage. As soon as those wizards in Bellevue open their mouths, we’ll get the goods to you first.

You think they'd pass up on their most popular games, though?

Press releases often get mailed directly to press. Easy, champ.
  6. Bandrik
Bandrik I only have a first-gen Mac Mini so I won't be doing any gaming on it at all. But this is still a pretty cool thing. Looking forward to the release, and I hope it brings a world of good to the Mac community that's so used to "my way or die" from Apple.
