The Humble Bundle for Android

Humble Bundle for Android

Four games, and four platforms, is what the latest Humble Indie Bundle brings to the table.

Marking a move into the world of mobile games, this bundle features Anomaly: Warzone Earth, Osmos and EDGE with World of Goo as a beat-the-average bonus—with support across Windows, Mac, Linux and the eponymous Android.

First up, the inverted tower defense title and darling of the mobile gaming world—Anomaly: Warzone Earth. One of the best-received mobile games to date, Anomaly puts the player in command of a mixed armoured unit which they must navigate through a network of enemy defence towers in an unusual take on the tower defence genre. Next is Osmos, the minimalist, physics-based puzzle game which has the player guide a single celled organism, or ‘mote’, to victory by becoming the largest left alive (read our review here). Each mote grows by absorbing smaller motes, but requires the ejection of mass to move, making every movement count as the player fights to avoid being consumed themselves in this beautifully simple yet incredibly engaging game. Last in the core bundle is another indie puzzler—EDGE. The concept is simple enough: the player rolls a cube from one end of the level to another collecting smaller coloured cubes as they go—but you’ll need a keen eye and quick reflexes to make it through the bewildering obstacle courses EDGE has in store.

The fun doesn’t stop there though, with soundtracks and full desktop versions of these games included, as well as a little something extra for those paying over the average—the award winning World of Goo from 2D Boy. Recently made available on Android, this 2D construction/puzzle game has the player build bridges, towers and everything in between to get as many goo balls as possible to the pipe at the end of the level.

As usual it’s both pay what you want (with charitable options) and a stonking deal on some top-class indie games, well worth a few bucks of anybody’s money.

Anyone curious about smartphone compatibility can give the demos a try and a detailed walkthrough on installing the Android games can be found here.

Garg Helluva deal. Bought! Nice that they're including Android.
  3. Snarkasm
Snarkasm Bought, and upped the average. Good causes = good money.
  4. Kwitko
Kwitko I too have placed my order for the Humble Bundle.
  5. trooster89
trooster89 Toki Tori has been added. Do you have to pay over the average to get that too? I'm curious because I already have world of goo from the first bundle.
