Year end deals from Newegg

Year end deals from Newegg

Newegg posted their year-end clearance sale today. There’s a lot of stuff on there, so let’s highlight some of the good stuff.

In gaming we have the God of War collection (God of War I & II) repackaged for the PS3, for only $15.99. If you’ve never played them this is a a great way to do it.

There’s also LittleBigPlanet for $15.99, which is one of the must-play titles for any PS3 owner.

If you have a Wii, having one of these is priceless. At $15, it’s a necessity.

If you want to build a new AMD FX system, this GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 board is a good buy at $149.99.

OCZ Vertex 3 (which we recently reviewed) is going for $189.99 for 120gb. Niiiiice.

There’s a bunch of other stuff on the list, but these were the ones that jumped out at me. Enjoy!

RyanFodder Not sure if this has updated since yesterday, but the OCZ Vertex three is listed on the clearance page as 169.99 and 189.99 on the product page.

OCZ Vertex 3 VTX3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) $169.99
Wonder if you could get them to honor the 169.99 being advertised?

boasist It's $169 after rebate, so you'll get that price if you stand on one leg, while chewing gum, and doing the hokey pokey. Because only then will a rebate be accepted and processed.....

RyanFodder Ah, I didn't read far enough. I really hate rebates.

As an aside, playing BF3 with and without an SSD makes a HUGE difference. Load times for a map go from 30 seconds to 1-2 minutes. Highly recommend this purchase.

primesuspect I specifically left out the rebate price, because fuck mail-in rebates. It's just about 2012. MIR needs to die in a fire as a backwards throwback to the 90s when enticing people to online sales was important. We've advanced, and I hope companies who do the MIR thing (ahem OCZ) figure out that it is almost universally hated.
