160mb internet in 2008?

Today at the CES, Comcast let it be known that they plan on rolling out DOCSIS 3 broadband starting this year. Theoretically peaking at 160mb/s, the service outshines Verizon’s FiOS by a factor of 3.

No mention on pricing, availability, or tiers… But “this year” is a lot closer than the “3-5 years away” that most of these announcements generally come in at.
