Collection for Keith “Mortin” Whitsitt

Short-Media is getting a collection together to help the family of Keith at this time. I would like to raise as much money as possible to help his family with the funeral costs or whatever else they choose to use it for. As numerous people have stated, none of us would be here right now discussing this if it weren’t for him. The least we can do for his family is to know that Keith had a much larger “family” than they might be aware of, and that we are all here for his parents, friends, and relatives at this time of need.

2 Nov 2004 ~ 10:15am primesuspect I'm happy to announce that so far we have been able to raise $500 for the memorial fund. I will be presenting a check to Keith's mom today. For those who wish to donate and haven't yet, I will still be accepting donations indefinitely and all funds will be forwarded to his mother.

Thank you so much everybody. This means a lot to his family.
5 Nov 2004 ~ 8:20pm Bluephuz I am overwhelmed with gratitude at your collecting money to benefit a cause for Keith. Your gracious and kind support for Keith's work and friendships on line is truly a blessing, and I am deeply touched by your kindness.

Prime Suspect presented me with a $500 check on Tuesday, and I was floored! I have decided to use a small portion of the money for funeral costs, and the balance will be paid to Keith's Scholarship Memorial Fund at Maclay High School, to benefit a needy student.

Peyton set up that memorial contribution fund; it's handled through Wachovia Bank in Florida.

Thank you all so very much. I am only just coming to realize the impact my son had on this talented group of people.
