Intel faces severe supply difficulties on Pentium Prescotts

It has been reported that distributors have said that five Pentium 4 Prescotts due to be launched any day now face severe supply constraints with two of the processors essentially unavailable until the end of August.

Intel is expected to introduce the 2.8GHz 520, the 3GHz 530, the 3.2GHz 540, the 3.4GHz 550 and the 3.6GHz 560 over the coming weekend.
