   1 Jul 2004 ~ 9:19pm muddocktor As long as it's available like regular oem copies of 32 bit XP, that will be cool. I truly hope that they don't try to restrict it to major oem's like they are doing with the XP Media Center copy.

   He said that Microsoft is working on a scheme to allow people to trade 32-bit XP Pro licences for Windows XP64. "We want to take care of the people who go out and buy or build X64 systems before we ship," he said.

   Unfortunately, they didn't say trading XP Home would be valid too... my A64 notebook came with Home installed.

   I got excited at hearing this, but then my cynical side took over. I bet they are referring to the OEM builders, not us little guys.
