Online, Michigan is #1

Michigan claimed the top spot for its use of e-government in a new survey of states released by the Center for Digital Government.

The Digital States Survey identifies the top 25 states in terms of their best practices, policies and progress in using technology to better serve their citizens and streamline operations.

Following Michigan in the 2004 study are:

Washington.
Virginia.
Indiana.
Arizona.
South Dakota.
Tennessee.
Utah.
Arkansas.
Colorado.
North Carolina, which tied for 10th.

I always renew my driver's license, get my tabs, etc. online. It's fantastic.
27 Jul 2004 ~ 9:57pm mmonnin Heck in Ohio we can barely get a decent education. No way they will be spending money on e-government. But maybe thats why we can get a good education. Or maybe since everyone is a dumba$s they cant run the e-government program....

We can't even kick them on this one. Heck, even Arkansas is in the top ten on this one. Who would ever think that too?

28 Jul 2004 ~ 6:48pm mmonnin We have Republican bullied Bob Taft that has denied more funding to the public school systems even tho it has been declared Inconsittutional 4 TIMES!! The state of ohio is basically run by one person and its not Bob Taft. Its a business owner, I cant remember the name, who gives millions to the republican party every year.
