  2. RWB
RWB How reliable is this "unofficial" information? When something is literally twice as good as what I have, I become more than willing to dish out what I need to have it!

I would take it with a pinch of salt.
  4. Thrax
Thrax Rage3D has been fairly accurate in the past, and this seems to coincide with what I've been hearing from little birdies.

But still, I too take it with a pinch of salt.
  5. mmonnin
mmonnin Holy **** yeah!!! I so wish it will be that way!!!
  6. Templar
Templar I'm just waiting for the $600 price tag.

  8. TheBaron
    TheBaron i'll pay it, damn
  9. ishiii
ishiii me too, I just cant help myself
  10. BlackHawk
BlackHawk I think it'll be higher since the 9800XT isn't cheap yet. Maybe $700
  11. Shorty
Shorty They could be true... but then again.. so could the chances of alien life on another planet with a vastly superior intelligence to our own..
  12. mmonnin
mmonnin Everything else will drop. They will have to for it to compete with the NV40 in prices.
  13. Omega65
    Omega65 GOOD LORD! 14K!?!

I hope it's true. This might just be my 1st $500 video card....... (way over my $250 limit)
  14. RADA
RADA OK, food or video card, morgage payment or video card, hmmmmm............ this is a tough decision. 14K!!! :hair: :wow: (slobber, drool)
  15. Unregistered what kind of noticeable performance will you be able to see between a 9800xt and x800xt? and anything over 500 aint worth it cause itll be outdated before it even hits the market
  16. Thrax
Thrax You'll be able to play any game at 1600x1200 with FSAA and Aniso. An impossible task currently.
  17. RADA
RADA I don't think it will be more than $425-$525. With the 6800 Ultra said to be around $399-$475(rumored $$), ATi won't price themselves out of the competition.
  18. primesuspect
primesuspect Yeah, they would seriously undermine their marketing efforts by pricing it so out of the stratosphere that only a few elite people could afford one. I can't imagine a mainstream gaming card topping $500.
  19. KingFish
KingFish I couldn't imagine a mainstream gaming card topping 400 bucks two years ago but it certainly happened and then some. I can't wait to see more concrete benchmarks, especially ones put on by an unbiased third party that pits the best from each manufacturer and lets 'em rip. I see a lot of speculation with this round of video card wars and the same old "manufacturer x is cheating" crap. It's cliche` at best and oh so very old by now. I still like to stick in the sweet spot of around 200-250 bucks and get the most for my money. I eagerly await releases of the next generation from each side and will make a decision when the dust and benchmarks settle.

    KingFish
  20. Jengo
Jengo i wonder what "punkte" means? (at the bottom left hand corner)

    lol
  21. mmonnin
    mmonnin Point in German
  22. Omega65

Yeah, they would seriously undermine their marketing efforts by pricing it so out of the stratosphere that only a few elite people could afford one. I can't imagine a mainstream gaming card topping $500.

Remember when Two Monster 3D SLI cards were $600 ($300 each)....
