VIA has released an HDTV encoder for PCs. This encoder will allow PCs to support HDTV displays and take inputs from MPEG decoders using a variety of standards including 1080i HDTV

The VT1625 encoder will allow PCs to support HDTV displays and take input from graphics chips or MPEG decoders using a variety of standards including 1080i HDTV.

The encoder will support inputs from 640×480 to 1024×768, including HDTV input formats 1280×720 or 1920×1080 in different RGB pixel formats, as well as YCrCb pixel data formats.
