    The demo does not have a playable multiplayer. But it did get me out of bed at 6AM on a Saturday. Well, my wife got me out of bed, and the demo held my interest until I wasn't tired any more...

    11 Sep 2005 ~ 9:26pm RADA If anyone experiences a DirectX error on start up here's a fix for it.
    
    Create a text file
    
    In the file place this line:
    
    xres=1024
    
    Save the file as user.cfg in the *\Age of Empires 3\startup\ folder.
    
    This will force the iniital resoultion of the game to 1024x768, after the game starts, you can change it to whatever you wish.
    
    This error usually is limited to widescreen monitors.
