Free Google Beta Wi-Fi

Google.com is looking to expand its portfolio by adding its own Wi-Fi network. Lately Google has been purchasing fiber optic lines and bought out wireless start-up Android.

Now, the company says it has begun a limited beta test of a Wi-Fi service near Google’s Mountain View, California headquarters. Google spokesman Nate Tyler said the service is part of a “community outreach program.” Tyler said the company would collect feedback from users and determine its next steps.

Google, the next Microsoft, but free.

26 Sep 2005 ~ 7:59am CyrixInstead What if you use their network for illegal things? I know you would be to blame, but how much would Google be to blame? I'm thinking along the lines of there maybe being a similarity between the company you work for getting into trouble if you do illegal things on their network, and this Google wi-fi thing.
