Intel is recalling the batch of Pentium Extreme Edition 3.73GHz Processors because of an improper heatsink included in the retail packaging. The CPUs run at 3.73GHz with 2MB cache and a 1066MHz processor system bus.
It also said the batch was of a very limited number. Although a representative wouldn’t be drawn on the number recalled, our understanding is that it could affect only a hundred or so.
