   31 Aug 2005 ~ 4:01pm TheBaron isn't that really something they should take up with google and not the us government? maybe i need to read about international satellite law though, I guess the government could have jurisdiction over what goes and what doesn't

   31 Aug 2005 ~ 4:07pm saintuk As far as I remember there is nothing anybody can do to stop you taking images from space, something to do with the fact you are not in anyones airspace.
   
   I remember the US govt complaining about a company taking images of area 51. After they found they could do nothing they just accepted the fact and hid anything secret, after all, they knew when the sat's were passing over.

   31 Aug 2005 ~ 5:30pm deicist Keebler, some of the more sensitive buildings in Washington DC are censored on google earth, check out the pentagon & the white house, both have blurred out sections.

   The roofs are blocked on a few buildings, that's all. You can still see perfectly well where the buildings themselves are and everything around them. It sounds like they're asking for a lot more than that...
