AMD said Fab 36, based in Dresden, is on track to begin shipping 65 nanometre CPUs in the second half of 2006.
Dirk Meyer, president of AMD, said: “The increased capacity provided by Fab 36 will contribute to our goal of doubling total production output from 2005 through 2008.”
