Could This be the Video iPod?

DailyTech has a photo of what they think might be the Video iPod.

These photos match up pretty well with the drawings from the US Patent and Trademark Office we posted a few weeks ago detailing a touch sensitive GUI for portable devices. Apple appears to be combining gestures into a form where a user will not have to use any form of clicking or pressing buttons. As it appears currently, the pictures indicate that users will be able to navigate the entire user interface by using gestures exclusively.

The only reason I didn't buy an iPod was because of the sound quality. Maybe (just maybe) they'll up the ante with this one, but I kind of doubt it. Hopefully they also increase the color depth with this.

They're gonna need to invent a forcefield to keep that screen clear, though. Damn.

6 Jun 2006 ~ 1:47pm King-without-a-crown There hasnt been any new information on this iPod since May 15, so I highly doubt that it will come out on the market, if it does it wont be for a while because they are still figuring out all the bugs!

6 Jun 2006 ~ 6:58pm King-without-a-crown yes we have had a video iPod on the market for a while, I have had my 60GB for a few months now and its great, I just got a new case for it yesterdy. What we are trying to figure ou is if Apple is going to come tou with a new better video iPod.
