Dell’s new E521 & C512, can both be configured with a verity of AMD CPU’s ranging from the AMD Athon 3800+ X2 all the way to the new 5000+ X2. Now what is unconfirmed is if Dell is offering only AM2 platform systems or if they have a few of the old 939 setups for the lower end. I was able to configure a E521 fully loaded with a price tag of $2,400+, now that is not what I call a budget system.
It will be interesting to see how Dell’s customers will take to these new offerings just before the holiday season.
