Latest Wii Rumours

With the imminent launch of the Nintendo Wii Gaming console, rumours are flying faster and thicker than ever with the latest hype centering around the possibility of it shipping in two colours no less!

There’s also a lot of talk about the release date and the price tag. Nintendo has yet to announce an official release date or price point for its new system and as such, anything written about should be considered with a grain of salt.
However a number of big-name publishers are set to release their Wii games in mid-to-late October. This suggests that a system debut could not be that far off. Several insiders feel the big day could be November 2 with others suggesting November 12 to be Wii’s launch date.
Rumours regarding the Wii’s capabilities have been so numerous that web-sites like Gameworld Network have dedicated a twopart article on busting some of the myths surrounding the Wii console.

Other industry rumours centre around third party game developers dumping the PS3 in order to develop games for the Wii, due to the popularity of the console at E3 and the resistance to PS3’s high price. Lucasarts are tipped as preparing an exclusive StarWars game, which makes full use of the Wiimote in a game, which focuses on lightsaber battles.

Whatever the eventual outcome is regarding colour, capability or price, the much-anticipated release is sure not to disappoint.
