Microsoft has unveiled a public beta of its forthcoming Internet Explorer 7 browser.

The beta (build 5296) allows both developers and users to test the application before its final release later this year.

Internet Explorer 7 was originally scheduled for release as part of the upcoming Windows Vista operating system, but Microsoft said last year that it would bring the browser release forward, promising availability by the summer of 2006.

DanG I've been using it for about a day now at work, it's nice, but I'm still getting used to it. No speed differences, the tabbed browsing is nice, the anti phishing will help some people, but I've found the buttons and tool bars can't be rearranged like IE6.
