PS3’s European Launch Delayed

Sony’s new game console’s release in Europe has been pushed back to March 2007, while the US and Japan release is still scheduled for November of this year.

Mr Kutaragi blamed the European delay on problems in mass producing elements of the high-definition Blu-ray disc drives in the machines.

Sony said it still aimed to ship six million new PlayStations by March.

But it halved its forecast for the end of 2006, saying just two million units would be shipped worldwide before the end of December.

Sony has squandered their love on Blu-Ray, and has left little for their European customers.

6 Sep 2006 ~ 11:59am Enverex A 5 MONTH delay? Wow. Going to see them going on european eBay for massive cash while asshats cash in on the desperate. Doesn't really supprise me though, europe is used to getting things far later than everyone else.

They are planning to ship 400 000 ps3 for the US market and they will keep 100 000 ps3 for japan market.

Yep... its a 'big' total of 500 000 ps3 for the first month....

I bet after 1 day those ps3 will already be sold... lol
