Add to Portal Gun to HL2

Somebody figured out how to add the Portal gun into HL2 and its associates. Thanks for the tip TT!

It says {check out this video we cut together to show you “Half-Life 2: Portal” in action.} and there's no link, no video to be found.
Most other links on the site don't work either. Even tried getting to the home/front page and nothing.
Even tried to check out the GCFScape link and nothing.
Seems {HL2 Filefront page} is one of the only links that works..
That said, It is a cool hack on the game though..

That looks very cool with the portal gun in HL2. Swweeettt.
I was just looking at you tube and listening to the portal end song/portal ending spoiler when I got your post. I saw another HL2 with portal preview there.
Primes got me hooked on the portal song, since he posted it..
Something about the tune that's catchy. Maybe it's the electronic voice....
As for the ending spoiler it's cool, but I don't think I'd ever remember all that by the time I play the game to the end. I haven't played it yet.
18 Oct 2007 ~ 6:32pm primesuspect Dammit my kids saw this and now they are BEGGING me to try it out. I'm gonna, but I'm slightly worried that messing around in the GCFs like this could trigger a VAC alarm and ban some accounts.

It's gimmicky, but ultimately unsatisfying.. HL2, not being meant for Portal guns, is way too easy with it. It's not a very elegant hack - you have to load each level manually via console, and if you get to the end of the level it will either crash or get stuck in a loop. Since you need to enable cheats to get the portal gun at all, you automatically have all weapons and your health regenerates insanely fast (even a barnacle can't kill you - you regenerate faster than it hurts you - you'll just bounce in and out of his mouth). With portals, you can get to places you were never meant to go, meaning there are broken or missing textures, and things get ugly fast. You can break the maps very easily by going all over the place.

It crashes a lot, but it's worth seeing. It's a 5 minute wow factor and then boredom
