Comcast throttling BitTorrent

Comcast throttling BitTorrent

The evidence of Comcast running a non-neutral network is mounting.

RWB I have a problem... if all I wanted to do was browse the web and send emails then I would only "need" a dialup connection, but for ease of use and generic stuff for fun I'd want only a 1Mb/s connection which is more than enough for the run of the mill streaming video/radio and generic use of the internet including playing video games.

So my problem comes when these *******S sell you a 7Mb+ connection and say "you can't do this... or that... AND THAT TOO!" If you don't have the capability to handle the traffic, then don't sell what you ain't got!
  2. Thrax
Thrax That's why you need to encrypt your bittorrent traffic, then they can't throttle it.
  3. RWB
RWB How do you encrypt BT traffic?
  4. Thrax
Thrax It's programmed into the client. It's different for all of them. Consult the FAQs for each one; they all have instructions.
