   23 Oct 2007 ~ 3:55pm Thrax There's fiber all over the metro detroit area. Ameritech and Michigan Bell went through in the late 90s and put 6"-1' bundles of fiber up and down most of the major roads in SE michigan, however none of it has ever been allocated for residential use.
