New author for Wheel of Time series

   There's only a short blurb about Sanderson on Robert Jordan's blog (which continues to be updated by his friends and family), but it's worth a read if only to get a peek into the life of such an interesting man.

   got too busy with school and life, planned to pick them back up after the wedding. Then I heard RJ passed away.
   
   Not sure they would be finished. Glad to see they will be. Heard RJ spent many of his last hours telling his wife and others how he saw the series concluding...

   12 Dec 2007 ~ 1:39pm Thelemech I must have been in a cave!!!?? I was not even aware that Robert Jordan had passed away. I loved his Conan novels and the few Wheel Of Time(2) books that I have read. An incredible loss to the fantasy/sci-fi world of writing.

   I actually dropped out of the series about 4 books in and would only pick one up at the library when I was bored. It just seemed to drag on and on ... and it seemed deliberate after a while.
   
   However, I felt similarly about the Dune series when Frank Herbert died. I didn't even care to know about it when his son took over. But when I picked one up by Brian Herbert (and Kevin Anderson) earlier this year for a plane trip, it turned out to be well thought out, make more sense and be more entertaining than I had expected.
   
   Maybe this will have a similar conclusion.
