Antec Three Hundred and Twelve Hundred cases

Antec Three Hundred and Twelve Hundred cases

The Antec Three Hundred case is like a smaller, simpler Nine Hundred. The Twelve Hundred is like a Nine Hundred on ‘roids.

    fatcat the 300 is meh.

    the 1200 is sweetness.
  2. Thrax
Thrax I find the 1200 rather ugly compared to the rest of its brothers, and I find the 300 to be a pleasantly clean-lined and efficient chassis.

I agree, after lugging my P180 to a bunch of LAN's a smaller case sounds much easier. The 300 would do everything I need at a smaller size.

Not to say the 1200 wouldn't be a sweet case, but when LAN time rolled around I think I would cry.

BuddyJ I'm with Thrax on this one. The 1200 looks too big and has a bit too much "flair" for my liking. I like the simplicity of the 300 best.

Snarkasm They're both nice, but I really like that they painted the entire frame on the 1200. For some reason that really sits well with me.

plus the 300 looks a little "cramped" in there
  7. lemonlime
lemonlime Antec 300 looks like a great quality case for the average buyer. I agree, not the best layout for an enthusiast.
  8. Qeldroma
Qeldroma I'm finding that the best enthusiast case = no case. A tabletop works just fine: Better cooling, easy access, plenty of room, don't have to worry about it coming in on time from Newegg and you can break whatever rules you want by putting your beer next to your system.....

Sorry if the paint-job, aesthetics, and prior use of the table don't work :p

    j/k.

I'm also partial to the 300- if mainly for size reasons. Past a certain point, I'd be looking at a 19" rack for multiple CPUs....
  9. fatcat
fatcat and the winner is STILL the Antec 900.
  10. Snarkasm
    Snarkasm I think I'd trade you my 900 for a 1200.
  11. Thrax
Thrax I would never want a 1200. Eww.
  12. Snarkasm
Snarkasm I have too many internals. 6 HDDs and 4 external devices (2 optical, screen, floppy - old school) - plus this is already something I despise moving, even in the 900. I could do with the extra space and I dig the black interior. Already got a LAN box, why not get a behemoth that can adequately fit all my other stuff?

BuddyJ For the 1200 lovers, more giant case goodness. This time, Futurelooks has the story.
