3DS early adopters get a big Christmas gift

Nintendo 3DS Ambassador free games

Those who jumped in to Nintendo 3DS ownership may have been disappointed that the price dropped mere months after launch—but on the bright side those early adopters were invited into what Nintendo calls the “Ambassador Program”. Earlier this year they awarded Ambassadors with a slew of free NES classics for Virtual Console. Most Ambassadors were pretty happy with the gift, and felt that the free games made up for the price premium they paid to be early adopters.

Well, it’s paying off even more. Today the 3DS Ambassadors are treated to a whole mess of new classics: this time from the Game Boy Advance library. These aren’t just third-rate titles either:

  • The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap
  • Metroid Fusion
  • Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
  • Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
  • Mario vs Donkey Kong
  • Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3

This is a high quality collection of some of Nintendo’s best titles from the era. Having this library, for free, on our 3DS systems is a fantastic early Christmas present. Thanks, Nintendo!

Thrax Isn't this just the rest of the apps promised to the people who got screwed, at basically the appointed time? Good games, though.
