700MHz auction: Round 5

700MHz auction: Round 5

The price of the mythical C-Block is now up to a whopping $2.6 billion US dollars. While this price has still not met the $4.6b USD reserve price set by the FCC, it is only the fifth round of bidding, and it is as relentless as ever.

Remember that the bidding has no hard closing time. The bids continue until one company Highlanders the rest of them and remains as the sole party willing to dish out the big bucks for the pie.

Onwards, Google! Onwards!

They already said they were going to bid the minimum (4.6bil) anyways. They are just setting all the kiddies have fun in the sandbox before they step in.
