AMD board partners have begun the rollout of so-called “V2” Radeon HD 5770s which feature an updated reference cooler that strongly resembles the one used on the lesser 5750.
Specs on the “new” 5770s are exactly the same as the old: 850MHz core, 1200MHz RAM, 1GB GDDR5, 128-bit memory interface, dual DVI, DisplayPort, HDMI and CrossFireX support.
Boards bearing the new reference cooler should be priced similarly to current 5770s, if not slightly cheaper due to reduced material costs.
