I think that’s pronounced like it looks – EX-TIV-ULL. Like Festival but for X’s… I dunno. Who comes up with this stuff?
From November 28th – 30th, Microsoft wants European Xbox 360 owners to participate in 72 hours of content debauchery. They’re pushing a bunch of exclusive content – most notably the return of Prodigy (you know- the band!) and pre-release access to a downloadable HD video from their upcoming March 2009 album “Invaders Must Die” on Friday. In other British music news, on Saturday fans of Oasis will be able to download three tracks from Oasis’ album “Dig Out Your Soul” for Guitar Hero World Tour (no love for GHIII owners? Sad pandas.) The three day music festivities conclude on Sunday with a video release of Franz Ferdinand from the first single of their new album (also debuting in 2009).
Ah, but Xtival 08 is more than music, my friends! How does a 7-episode series of exclusive “Watchmen” content sound?
The press release alludes to more good stuff, like a contest to win a chance to chat with members of Prodigy. I guess us boring old Americans will have to sit around and worry about getting up at 4am to go shopping on Black Friday rather than have lots of fun with our Xbox 360s…. Sigh.
