Users will no longer be able to watch clips of CSI and David Letterman on YouTube |
Times have been pretty rough for YouTube lately.
Earlier this month Fox made YouTube rat out one of their users. A couple weeks later Viacom demanded YouTube pull all of their clips offline; a big blow since Viacom is the parent company of MTV and Comedy Central. Then they turned around and signed a deal with new start-up company, Joost.
Things don’t stop there however. The deal with YouTube and CBS, which has been in the works since Google bought out YouTube, has now been axed.
CBS liked the idea that YouTube was promising them revenue of up to $500 million, but they could not come to an agreement on the length of the partnership among other things.
The good news? Well YouTube still is working on a deal with NBC assuming things do not go sour with that relationship as well.
