MediaDefender, and parent company ArtistDirect has seriously hit the skids after 700MB of internal emails surfaced that, not surprisingly, highlight the underhanded and anti-consumer attitudes inherent within the company. This includes, but is not limited to the information acquired by PirateBay to prove that hackers were paid to disrupt PirateBay’s operations, and humor expressed at the lawsuit approach of major media organizations.
After losing over a million dollars US due to the leaks, MediaDefender CEO Randy Saaf was eloquently quoted “This is F***ed!” [explitive censored]
