Apple responds publicly to the FCC’s inquiry regarding iPhone app rejections.

    ardichoke ... and of course apple is turning their response to a legal inquiry into a pages long session of self fellatio.
    The application has not been approved because, as submitted for review, it appears to alter the iPhone’s distinctive user experience by replacing the iPhone’s core mobile telephone functionality and Apple user interface with its own user interface for telephone calls, text messaging and voicemail.

    You can uninstall applications for a reason... did it ever occur to them that most people realize that and maybe they WANT the core functionality to work differently?
