AT&T not in a hurry for 4G

AT&T not in a hurry for 4G

While Sprint is busy beavering away on their 4G XOHM service, AT&T is committed to further developing their 3G network. As AT&T currently deploys HSDPA to most US metropolitan areas, it makes sense to more than triple their per-user bandwidth by implementing HSPA+, a relatively minor infrastructure upgrade.

Though AT&T, Verizon and other US carriers have tacitly committed to the 4G LTE specification, the only thing more nebulous than its timetable is how much they hate you for downloading on their phones. It’s probably a lot.
