Bring streaming TV to the desktop

Perhaps you’ve never heard of Miro, but if you enjoy services like Hulu and Youtube, perhaps you should read ahead. You see, Miro is a desktop application that funnels these and other streaming TV/video sites right into a single interface on the desktop. In addition to an extensive library of its own, the addition of third-party streaming video from heavy hitters gives this slick little app a daunting variety of content.

Miro has just been updated with a fresh face, faster LegalTorrents downloads, and better integration with Hulu. So if you’ve been looking for a way to stay entertained and pull all these favorite web destinations together, we advise starting here.

  1. Khaos
Khaos Something Ars fails to mention with any prominence is that Miro is a Free Open Source Software (FOSS) title that is currently being developed and maintained by a non-profit organization.

    Very cool.

An 'open source' tag on the news article would be sweet.
